Image Use Requests Click here for 'Facts about image licensing'. I welcome your requests for using images! All images and text are protected by copyright law and may not be copied, used or reproduced in any way without my consent. When you purchase or commission artwork, the purchase is for the actual piece only. If you would like to use or reproduce the artwork in some way, let me know and I will work with you on image licensing cost and terms. Original artwork, as the unique creation of the artist, may not be altered. (yes..I know this seems obvious, but would you believe I've actually come across an instance where someone wanted to have an original painting (not mine) altered to match the color of a couch?! -ahh...giggles) Can I use your images on my website or business materials? I often receive requests for using my artwork to adorn web pages, business materials, books, and other published creations. Please contact me if you have a project that you feel my artwork would compliment and we will discuss the usage rights, terms & costs. You may also be interested in choosing from my predesigned business card selection- click here to view Commissioning Artwork Commissions are a wonderful way to gift your self or another with a unique and personal piece. I am also open to other sorts of commissions. Just contact me about your ideas and I'll be happy to talk with you. There are no refunds on commissions. (I've never had any complaints!) 1/2 to 1/3 initial non-refundable initial payment is required to begin your commission. Costs: Each intuitive commission includes a brief intuitive reading report that shares messages and guidance just for you! (or the person you have commissioned the piece for.) Time: Process:
Pricing of Original Paintings Original paintings purchases are calculated generally at a minimum, the width x height of the painting. This cost may vary depending on medium, size, materials incorporated into the piece and detail of the piece. I am open to payment plans, and accept PayPal, MC or VISA. Commissioned pieces are priced differently.
Prints Prints are available of most images in a variety of sizes. All prints offered are archival quality Giclee reproductions. Each print is hand signed by me. Prints on paper and unmounted canvas are shipped flat and in a protective wrap. Prints on canvas are shipped in a suitable box with plenty of padding for protection. I am able to make prints of most images in a variety of sizes on paper or canvas, even beyond what you may see offered. So, please inquire if you desire a certain size! For more info see the Print section.
How are prints on canvas different from prints on paper ? Prints on canvas are more expensive to print, prepare, mail and require extra time, materials and preparation to be ready for sale. Each print is hand stretched over a quality wood frame- a process that takes time & care. The canvas is gallery wrapped for a clean edge (you won't see staples along the side) The edges are colored to compliment the painting. This provides a look that is beautiful & feels complete even without framing. Most of my prints on canvas are artist embellished. This means that I personally add hand painted touches to each print, which adds beauty & value. The embellishments are subtle and may include a touch of irridescent paint on a moon, a bit of color in a flower, or metalic gold where it exists in the original painting. In considering the cost of prints, keep in mind too that prints on canvas may be hung without framing. I love prints on unmounted canvas/flat canvas because canvas enhances the color vibrancy, provides durability and the wonderful textural feel innate to canvas. These prints, like the prints on paper, will have a 1/2- 1 inch border but unlike paper prints, they may be framed free from glass. The is a wonderful presentation allowing more tangability for the eyes and senses. How do I take care of my artwork? Although protected with varnish, artwork is best not hung where there is direct sunlight. The sunlight will fade any art over time. Also, I do not recommend hanging artwork over or close to radiators, as the heat could warp the painting or frame. Paintings may be lightly dusted with a dry, clean cloth. To clean glass, dust with dry cloth, then spray cloth with cleaner and gently wipe away any spots.
Framing Artwork If you would like me to take care of framing, just let me know and I'll contact you with a quote. Otherwise, take your artwork to a reputable framer in your area and choose a frame that suits your personal tastes. Oils and acrylics do not require glass. Works on paper should be framed under glass. All glass provides some UV protection, but framers also offer a special UV glass that adds extra protection. I recommend the UV glass for original art and the regular glass for prints. Prints and paintings on canvas may also be hung without framing. A frame does provide some added protection though and a ' finished ' look.
Giving & Receiving I am committed to passing on at least 3% of my sales income to non-profits working to protect the Earth's wilderness, wildlife, peace and well-being. See Art of Peace for more information.
Healing Session Policies *Please remember that a missed appointment fee is expected for all appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice. The fee is the amount of your booked session. Certain emergencies and dangerous driving weather are excluded. I appreciate your understanding that in my line of work, I prepare for your arrival , I only get paid when people show up and a late cancellation or no-show is a time I could have booked another client that wanted in or planned something else for my time. *Any cancelations or changes to your session must be communicated BY PHONE within 24 hours prior to your sceduled appointment. *Though I attempt to make confirmation calls, it is ultimately your responsibility to remember and arrive on time to your appointment. Each client is given a card on which your next appointment is written (unless I see you writing it in your own calendar). I recommend you put this card in a visible place. *Since I work from home and therefore do not have a reception area, please arrive no more than 10 minutes early for your appointment. *I start ontime. If you are late for an appointment, you will receive the remainder of your booked time and full payment is expected. If my schedule allows, you may choose to pay for additional time. * To receive the most out of your sessions, it is important that you relax as much as possible. Consciously scan your body and feel areas of tension letting go. You may imagine yourself on a beach or use some other imagery to help yourself detach from the everyday mental chatter & stress. It’s very important to allow this deep relaxed state, letting go, not anticipating what I’ll be doing next in the massage and not helping me as I move your limbs and head around. DO NOT HELP! Everytime you think and assist in the massage you are making my job harder, and you are sending a message to your mind, emotions & muscles that they do not have your permission to fully relax & let go. Thank you so much for your understanding and respect of these neccessary policies.
